Dog of the Week – Meet Monica

This three-year, eight-month-old female Hound mix is brown and white in color and weighs 57 pounds. It's time for a repeat---yes, Monica was our chosen dog last week, but we REALLY want her to be adopted as she has been in the shelter over 45 days. She loves receiving attention from the folks at the shelter that she sees regularly and from potential adopters that come in to meet her. While she can be a little timid, Monica could benefit from being handled with patience and guidance showing her what she should and shouldn't do. She seems to have maintained a "happy" face even though her new pet guardian hasn't come yet to adopt her. Don't make her wait any longer-she's ready to go – spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated—nothing to hold her back at this time. Meet Monica at Dog Adoptions (DA) 23, her ID number is A44002954.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Lola

This seven-month-old female Terrier mix is black and white in color and weighs 33 pounds. Lola is a younger dog that loves interactions of any kind. She can see nearly everyone that comes in the shelter and hopes to catch someone's attention, most especially a potential adopter! She still has some growing to do and some manners to learn. Providing some leash practice for her would be a good task for a new pet guardian to provide. Recently, a team member noticed some leaves outside her kennel. It was determined that the cleaning crew's son was talking to Lola through the window and leaving the leaves for her. It was such a sweet gesture on his part. His special thoughts for Lola mean a lot to us. Lola is our longest shelter resident—don't "leaf" this one behind!! Meet Lola at Dog Adoptions (DA) 5, her ID number is A52948750.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
