Many City of Arlington municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, and Jan. 1, 2022, in observance of the New Year's holiday.

 Residential garbage and recycling collection will not occur on New Year's Day. Collection will resume the following regular collection day.

 Regular office hours and service schedules will resume Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.

 • Arlington Animal Services – open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• All Arlington Public Library branches (the East Library closes at 3 p.m.)

 • The Beacon Recreation Center - closes at 3 p.m.

 • East Library and Recreation Center – facility closes at 3 p.m., pool closes at noon

 • Cliff Nelson Recreation Center – closes at 3 p.m.

 • Dottie Lynn Recreation Center – closes at 3 p.m.

 • Elzie Odom Athletic Center – closes at 3 p.m.

 • Tierra Verde Golf Club – last tee time is at 11 a.m. Ventana Grille closes at 3 p.m., as do golf course and practice facilities
