The City is putting technology to work to ensure residents will be able to participate in Tuesday’s Arlington City Council meeting, which will be held virtually to protect the public during the coronavirus outbreak.
Both the 1:30 p.m. afternoon and 6:30 p.m. evening City Council meetings will be held in the Council Briefing Room at Arlington City Hall. Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams will be present in person to run the afternoon and evening meetings. All other City Council members will be participating remotely through video conferencing technology.
In the interest of public health, the Council Briefing Room will be closed to the public because of social distancing requirements in place to prevent the spread of the respiratory disease, COVID-19.
Members of the public who wish to speak on a listed agenda item can send an email to [email protected] to register at any time until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, or call 833-268-8354; Conference ID – 299-148-114# starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, to register to speak. City staff will then call members of the public who register to speak on agenda items at the appropriate time during the City Council meeting.
When registering by email, please include your name and address for the record, as well as a telephone number, and the listed agenda item that you would like to speak on.
The meetings can be viewed live on the City's website at https://www.arlingtontx.gov/city_hall/departments/broadcast or through your local cable provider municipal channel.
