With the weather warming up and the school year winding down, we’ve got fun activities planned for all ages! Mark your calendar for these upcoming May events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Arlington Parks Centennial x TREK 100 Mile Challenge Kick-Off Party – Friday, May 3

Join us at River Legacy Park's Elm Grove Pavilion for our kick-off party celebrating Arlington Parks Centennial x TREK 100 Mile Challenge! For the month of May we are promoting a 100-mile challenge to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department. This night will be about fun, food, and all friends in the community. Bring out the bikes and family!

Cinco de Mayo Celebration (50+ yrs) – Friday, May 3

Seniors are invited to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with their EngAGE friends at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center! Enjoy great food and entertainment from 11 AM to 1 PM on May 3. This event is for ages 50+ and is free to attend.

Stay-A-Float! – Saturday, May 4

Whether you're stressed about finals, work, or life in general, it's nothing a root beer float and a cuddle with a puppy can't help cure! Come hang out with us at East Library and Recreation Center and forget about your troubles, even just for an hour or two. This event begins at 1 PM and is open to ages 16+.

Mother’s Day Brunch at Ventana Grille – Sunday, May 12

Celebrate Mom with a delicious brunch and beautiful views of Tierra Verde Golf Club! Ventana Grille will offer a special Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12 from 10:30 AM to 3 PM. The price is $50 per adult and $25 per child ages 4-12. Children 3 and under eat free. Reservations are required. Please call 817-548-5047 to RSVP.

100 Years of Parks: Home Run Derby – Thursday, May 23

Break out the bats and knock some out of the park! Join us at the Home Run Derby to celebrate 100 years of Arlington Parks and Recreation and crown the Home Run Champ while having a blast. Enjoy food trucks, beer and wine, yard games, giveaways, vendors, music, and lots of fun! This competition event for adults will be held at the Green and Yellow Fields at Randol Mill Park with prizes for the winner.
