City of Arlington Aquatics is hiring for the upcoming summer season and wants you to be a part of the team!
Arlington Aquatics has several positions available and begins hiring at 15 years of age.
Position: Cashier/Greeter
Starting Salary: $7.50/hour
Minimum Hiring Age: 15
Job Description: Responsible for assisting in daily pool opening and closing procedures, collection of pool admission fees, maintenance of accurate financial and participation reports and oversight of the pool admission office. Must have strong customer skills, exhibit a high level of maturity and professionalism, be dependable and feel comfortable with meeting and greeting pool visitors. Must be able to learn and operate a computerized point of sale system.
Position: Shallow Water Lifeguard
Starting Salary: $9.50/hour
Minimum Hiring Age: 15
Job Description: Responsible for the safety and satisfaction of pool patrons through quality service and the enforcement of facility rules. Assists with general facility maintenance and responds to emergency situations on and off the lifeguard stand. Lifeguard certification is required. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will make every effort to provide training/certification opportunities for qualified individuals. Ability to work at the Helen Wessler or Howard Moore pools only.
Position: Lifeguard
Starting Salary: $9.50/hour
Minimum Hiring Age: 15

Position: Swim Instructor
Starting Salary: $11/hour
Minimum Hiring Age: 16
Job Description: Responsible for learn-to-swim instruction in a group or one-on-one format. Must be able to prepare and monitor course and participation records and evaluate participant swimming abilities to ensure an appropriate level of instruction in an enjoyable and safe setting. Instructors must have strong customer service skills and be able to work effectively with children and their parents. Certification as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) is required. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will make every effort to provide training/certification opportunities for individuals with the desire to teach.
