Families Can Enjoy Free Educational, Recreational Activities at 15th Annual W.A.T.E.R. Festival

River Legacy Living Science Center The City of Arlington Water Utilities and River Legacy Living Science Center have teamed up again, to raise awareness about water conservation, while educating through fun activities for all ages.

This will be River Legacy’s 15th Water Awareness Through Education and Recreation (W.A.T.E.R.) Festival. The fun starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, and goes until 2 p.m. at River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd. (corner of NW Green Oaks and North Cooper Street. The festival is free to everyone, and will include family-friendly activities, games, demonstrations and crafts for all ages.

What to Expect:

Creek Walks: 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Story Times: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Animal Exploration: Aquatic Turtles: 12 p.m.
Stream Trailer Demonstrations: 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.

The Discovery Room inside the Learning Center will be open for event activities, however not all exhibits regularly open, will be available.

The first 50 families who visit the Arlington Water Utilities booth will receive a free water conservation kit.
Other exhibitors include: U.S. Fish & Wildlife, The Trinity River Authority, Cross Timbers Master Naturalists, and City of Arlington Storm Water Public Works.
