If you are a Texas Rangers Baseball fan, there is no better time of year than summer. Hot outside or not, Globe Life Park in Arlington is the place you want to be. Bring your family and friends with you to the ballpark from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 1000 Ballpark Way in Arlington, when the Texas Rangers host their annual blood drive with Carter BloodCare.

To navigate your way to the blood drive area, donors can park in Corolla Lot C and enter through the Centerfield Gate.

Giving blood saves lives and those who give on July 2nd will also receive an exclusive stadium tour; a voucher for buy-one, get-one tickets to a game; and an exclusive Carter BloodCare/Texas Rangers t-shirt. Additionally, enjoy raffles every hour with prizes, including suite tickets, and free food while you are at the drive.

If you consider yourself a larger-than-life Rangers fan, spread the word to your friends and family to #GiveForLife at the Rangers' blood drive. For each person you or your organization refers to the blood drive, you will get one entry into a raffle to join Carter BloodCare in a suite at an upcoming Texas Rangers game.

Summer is typically the most challenging time of year to maintain a safe and sufficient blood supply for hospitals that require it for their patients. In regional hospitals, an estimated 600 to 700 patients, daily, are prescribed blood transfusions. Blood donors are an important part of the medical first-response system because blood must be on the shelf before patients need it. There is no substitute for blood and there is no substitute for blood donors. The Texas Rangers are counting on their fans to be the homerun hitters for patients, by coming out to Globe Life Park on Monday, July 2nd to donate blood.

Remember to eat a nutritious meal and drink plenty of water one to two hours before giving blood. Potential donors may give at age 16 with a parent's permission. Anyone age 17 or older may give independently. There is no upper age limit. All donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, feel well on the day of donation, and present a government-issued photo ID each time they give blood.
