Public Meeting Set July 2 for Belvedere Street Rebuild Project

The City of Arlington's Public Works and Transportation Department anticipates starting construction on the 2018 Community Development Block Grant Residential Street Rebuild Project in July 2018.

This project consists of rebuilding Belvedere Street, from South Collins Street to East Mitchell Street, with 7-inch concrete pavement, drainage improvements, sewer renewals, street lights, and sidewalks.

A construction briefing meeting is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018, in the Council Briefing Room located on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 101 W. Abram St. This will be an open house, come-and-go meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and answer questions residents may have concerning the proposed construction.

This $1.5 million project is funded by Community Development Block Grant funds for neighborhood infrastructure improvements and Water and Sanitary Sewer Bond funds. Construction is scheduled to be completed in March 2019.
