1. Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

When: Saturday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.
Where: Downtown Arlington
What: The 2018 Arlington Holiday Lights Parade will brighten Downtown on Saturday, Dec. 8! Bring your friends and family to the Downtown/University District to enjoy the annual Holiday Lights Parade. Thousands of people will gather to enjoy the holiday pageantry, which concludes with the lighting of the Christmas tree at 7 p.m. in the City Center plaza between City Hall and the new George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.

2. Arlington Music Hall's Spectacular Christmas

When: Dec. 8-9 and Dec. 15-16
Where: Arlington Music Hall, 224 N Center St.
What: The AMH Spectacular Christmas show returns to the Arlington Music Hall in Downtown. This event showcases sensational singers, dynamic dancers, charming children, a kick-line of lovely young ladies, colorful costumes, sparkling special effects and tops it off with a visit from Santa himself! 3. Texas Christkindl Market at The Plaza

Arlington's beloved Texas Christkindl Market returns for its eighth season this weekend! From now through Dec. 23, The Plaza at Texas Live! will transform into a unique holiday shopping experience. Modeled after Arlington's sister Christmas city, Rothenberg ob der Tauber, this cozy version of an Arlington favorite will offer beautiful holiday decorations and handmade gifts for everyone on your Christmas list. Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, admission is free, with holiday treats and gift items available for purchase. 4. Enchant Christmas at Globe Life Park

Back by popular demand, Enchant Christmas will once again illuminate North Texas skies with its World's Largest Christmas Light Maze & Market. Last year, more than 250,000 people unwrapped a new holiday tradition at the most scenic wonderland in Texas. This year, the family tradition will move inside Globe Life Park in The American Dream City, with a new heart-warming theme, an updated adventure in the light maze, and a larger, dazzling Artisans' Market. 5. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas' brightest holiday celebration is now under way in The American Dream City! At this exclusive seasonal event, you'll find everything you need to celebrate the most wonderful time of year. Holiday in the Park is available on select dates now through Dec. 31. Here are seven incredible features at this year's event. The park will be open from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, and 4-10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The NFL season continues this Sunday, December 9, 2018 with a nationally televised NFC East showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles (6-6) and your first place Dallas Cowboys (7-5) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The team hopes to add to its current win streak after defeating the New Orleans Saints at home last Thursday night. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised on FOX. 8. Live Music at Texas Live!

Check out live music this weekend at Texas Live!, the new $250 million world-class dining, entertainment and hospitality district located near the Rangers' Globe Life Park and Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in The American Dream City. Arlington Backyard, a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion, is expected to host more than 250 events annually. Several bands will perform throughout the weekend at multiple venues. The College Game Day Watch Party kicks off on Saturday at 2 p.m. in front of a Texas-Sized Television. The Cowboys Game Day Watch Party starts at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 9. 9. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for live music this weekend. On Friday, December 7, enjoy Devin Leigh at 8 p.m. His solo work is a mixture of rockabilly, country, blues, and southern rock, infused with fiery guitar. On Saturday, Strum & Drum will perform at 8 p.m. The duo is known for playing classic rock, modern rock, country, pop, and blues tunes in an acoustic setting.
