Kenneth Koenig

The Arlington City Manager's Office is pleased to announce that Kenneth Koenig has been selected as the volunteer of the month for November 2017! He has been offering his time at the Information Desk since October of 2012.

We all look forward to Fridays and having Ken at the Information Desk makes it even better! He arrives on Friday mornings to assist City Hall visitors by providing directions and answering questions. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are grateful to have him on our team.

In addition to volunteering with us, he has also been volunteering at DFW Airport for almost 18 years. As an Airport Ambassador, he provides excellent customer service exceeding the passengers' expectations. Ken believes the best way to combat becoming a couch potato is by offering his time to serve the community. He also enjoys spending time with his family, reading and traveling occasionally.

When asked what made him choose the Information Desk, Ken explained that another volunteer opportunity with the City had ended and soon after he found out about the Information Desk. We are thankful that when one door closes, another door usually opens. We are honored to have such a dedicated volunteer. Congratulations!
