From its interactive animal exhibits to its scenic nature trails, the River Legacy Living Science Center in North Arlington has encouraged an appreciation of nature through education and interaction with the natural world for two decades.
The Living Science Center, located in River Legacy Parks and part of the River Legacy Foundation, is currently undergoing a $2.5 million renovation to improve its interactive exhibits and become the destination nature center in North Texas.

- Approximately 200,000 people visit the park annually.
- About 50,000 people attend Living Science Center programs each year.
- On average 14,000 kindergarten through 8th grade students in public and private schools participate in field investigations each year.
- About 600 youth take part in weekly summer classes each year.
- River Legacy Parks is home to more than 300 plant and animal species, including the rare Devil's Cigar, a fungus found only in parts of Texas and Japan.
