Tee up and swing away to support Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex. Rolling Hills Country Club is hosting its inaugural charity golf tournament to benefit Mission Arlington on Monday, May 1, 2017.

This tournament, open to men and women, will be a two-person team scramble with an entry fee of $150 per person. Entry fees will cover the round, cart, gift bag, lunch, and raffle tickets. Specific holes will have opportunities for prizes, such as a "Beat the Pro" contest and a "Hole in One" contest. Other activities include a Silent Auction that is open to the players as well as the general public.

When Rolling Hills Country Club first discussed having a charity golf tournament "it was a no brainer which charity we would raise money for," said Tournament Coordinator Tony Dixon. Many of the members of the private club are actively involved as volunteers with Mission Arlington, an organization that has been helping families in need the past three decades.

"More than 200 families a day come to the Mission Office in need of assistance with rent, utilities, gasoline vouchers, and many other financial needs," said Tillie Bergin, Executive Director of Mission Arlington.

Hole sponsorships are also available to local businesses. Current sponsors already include Moritz Cadillac of Arlington, Six Flags Over Texas, Olive Garden, and First Baptist Church.

"We're expecting a full course of 144 golfers and a full line up of sponsors for such a wonderful cause."

Rolling Hills Country Club is located at 401 E. Lamar Boulevard. For more information about the tournament, call Dani Rusbult at 817-274-1072 or email [email protected].
