South Street Art Festival Comes to Downtown Arlington

Seventy-five artists from across the country will be featured in the 2nd Annual South Street Art Festival September 26- 28, 2014.

It will be held on South St. between Mesquite St. and Mary St. and will last for three days, presenting fine art in different mediums. There will be ceramic art, painting, glass, metal art and more. Only 40 artists are returning from last year, and a lot of new, exceptional art will be on display, said Steve Moya, the owner and promoter of the Art Festival.

Festivities will begin at 5p.m. Friday September 26 and there will be food and drinks available as well as ten local bands performing through out the weekend.

Moya said it's really all about making a connection between Arlington and art.

"The goal is to get Arlington to see the value of fine art and start collecting. Get to know about the artist, " he said.
