Parks and Recreation Month

Win weekly prize packs from Arlington Parks

During the month of July, Arlington Parks is challenging everyone to get out and visit our community parks and recreation locations during National Park and Recreation Month.

Nearly three in 10 U.S. adults do not spend time outside on a daily basis and of those who do, almost half spend less than 30 minutes in the fresh air according to a new survey released by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).

Unplugging and Connecting with nature, family, and community has limitless benefits to well-being. The department would like to encourage you to unplug from your work, devices, and hectic schedules and focus on basic pleasures this month. Furthermore, we would like you to share your experiences with us through the Parks and Recreation Month Contest for the chance to win weekly prize packs.
