After Downtown Arlington has grown during the last few years with the addition of the Levitt Pavilion and University of Texas at Arlington's College Park Center, artist Steve Moya thought it was a good time to introduce a new event for art lovers in the heart of the City: the South Street Art Festival.

Moya, who also brings Art on the Greene to Arlington's Entertainment District each spring, created the three-day event, enticing about 50 artists to participate in the inaugural event.

The first South Street Art Festival ran from Sept. 27 through Sept. 29, featuring 11 different mediums, local food vendors, and live music.
