Happy October! Did you know that October is National Adopt a Dog Month? How lucky am I to be chosen as one of the special dogs for Arlington Animal Services "Dog of the Week"! My name is Kerwin and I am approximately one year old. I am a Blue Heeler/Pit Bull Terrier Mix weighing around 27 pounds. I am a medium-sized dog who thinks I'm a lap dog. Energetic and always happy, I'm looking for an active family who can keep up with my spirited and fun personality. Being a young man, I'm still learning all my manners but a simple verbal correction does wonders for me and of course a little treat here and there doesn't hurt to get me motivated. I'm dog friendly and volunteers think I was possibly house trained prior to being in the shelter. If your family is looking for a young energetic dog full of pizazz and fun, then I'm your guy! I am currently available for adoption and ready to go to my new fur-ever home! Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, neuter, micro-chip and 30 days free pet insurance. Now tell me that's not a great deal! But, guess what? In honor of National Adopt-a-Dog month, my adoption fee is only $50 through October 31! I am a special dog, so if you are interested in meeting me, come to Arlington Animal Services today and ask for a Meet and Greet. Please bring my kennel ID number (Kennel DA20, ID A21296126) and ask to see "Kerwin", the current Dog of the Week!
