Join the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department staff as we camp out at River Legacy Parks, March 22-23, 2013. Pack your tents and sleeping bags and set out for a night in the wilderness, right here in the city.
The campout includes dinner, a movie under the stars, sleeping bag story time, s'mores and a campfire. Check-in and tent set up time for the campout will be on Friday, March 22, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. After a hot dog dinner from 6-7 p.m., story time, animal exploration and arts and crafts will be offered from 7-8 p.m. Towards the end of the night, attendees can enjoy s'mores over the campfire and a movie under the stars from 8-11 p.m. Tent time for the campout will be called at 11 p.m., and everyone will pack up and leave around 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013.
"The Tents & Tales Campout is always one of our favorite events to host,' Elzie Odom Athletic Center Facility Manager Ernie Smith said. "It is a great event for families who want a quick getaway and the kids always have a blast. Everyone returns home with great stories from the campout.'
