Free Concerts at Levitt Pavilion for Performing Arts

Catch some of the great artists performing during the Summer Music Series at the Levitt Pavilion in Downtown Arlington. Grab your lawn chairs, bring the food and coolers, and enjoy a night under the stars. All concerts are FREE to the public.

Friday: Sarah Hickman- Captivating tunes from a Texas treasure.

Saturday: The Light Crust Doughboys- A slice of Texas music history.

Sunday: Snarky Puppy- Experimental, jazzy funk for your brain

Create Your Own Vegetable Garden

Interested in learning the basics of planning, planting and maintaining a vegetable garden? The Arlington Men's Garden Clubis hosting a one-day workshop this Saturday at River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd. Best suited for ages 10 and up. Free, but space is limited. Taste a Bit of New Orleans

Head over to Ventana Grille this Saturday for a Ticket to Travel event featuring Chef Luigi Cinelli's inventive take on traditional cuisine from New Orleans. Try several traditional cajun favorites such as Seafood Gumbo, Shrimp Etouffee and Jambalaya. Also on the menu: Sautéed Trout Pontchartrain, Grilled Ribeye, Penne Voodoo and New Orleans style Crab Cakes. Menu prices range from $5.95-14.95. Seating is limited and reservations are required. The Peddler Show Rolls Into Town

Be inspired as you shop from an exclusive selection of talented designers, artisans, creators and craftsmen from across the nation. Find unique merchandise for your home, health, wardrobe and family all at the Arlington Convention Center this Friday-Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+) and children ages 5-11. Children under five are free. One admission is good for the entire weekend.

New Rides at Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is getting bigger, better and wetter with the addition of two new slides, Typhoon Twister and Tsunami Surge. On Typhoon Twister, guests board slides built for two for an adrenaline-packed ride down a tunnel and into a bowl-shaped slide. Tsunami Surge sends couples twisting and turning down a 68-foot enclosed tunnel while they build up speed to take on a 40-foot wave slide on the other side. Tickets prices begin at $24.99. Children ages two and under are FREE. Parking rates will apply.
