One of the most frightening situations a firefighter will encounter is a swift water rescue. These types of emergencies are time sensitive and require a great deal of technical knowledge and equipment. The Arlington Fire Department's Swift Water Rescue/Dive Team has two swift water rescue boats, which are quickly deployable. This equipment, in combination with specialized training, has prepared them for dangerous swift water environments and operations.

Hear what Fire Battalion Chief Jackie Parker had to say about this elite group of firefighters.
