With the home opener at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington just two days away, team executives are expecting a packed house when the Texas Rangers take on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. First pitch is Friday at 1:05 p.m.

Friday's crowd should be electric. Josh Hamilton returns to Texas for the first time as an Angel, and both teams are expected to go head-to-head for the American League West crown all season long. The Rangers are currently wrapping up a three-game series against the Houston Astros.

Fans are eagerly anticipating another exciting season at Rangers Ballpark, which underwent a $12 million renovation during the off-season. The upgrades include the addition of a third row of Home Plate Seats, extensive renovations and upgrades to the private club and concessions areas behind home plate, a new retail store and concessions stands on the Main Concourse, and deeper dugouts and field camera bays.
