Arlington Museum of Art’s Three Exhibitions

Steel Magnolias at Theatre Arlington

Prepare to be moved to tears and laughter in equal measure with ‘Steel Magnolias’ at Theatre Arlington. This heartwarming tale of love, friendship, and resilience in a small Southern town will tug at your heartstrings. Join a remarkable group of women as they gather in a charming beauty salon and share their joys and sorrows, reminding us that the bonds of friendship are unbreakable. Outdoor Storytime at River Legacy Nature Center

Join the Arlington Public Library at River Legacy Nature Center for stories and nature with a special outdoor storytime, weather permitting, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024. The program will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather. Click here to register.

WNO23 – Flograppling

WNO23 – Who's Number One comes to College Park Center, 7-10 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024. Mica Galvão and Tommy Langaker are set to clash for the WNO Welterweight Championship at WNO 23, in a battle of two of grappling's most exciting champions. Mica Galvão is wasting no time in making his next defense of his WNO Welterweight Championship, as he has agreed to face Tommy Langaker for the title at WNO 23, May 10th in Arlington, TX. This will mark Galvão's third defense of the belt, after previously defeating Kody Steele and Kenta Iwamoto. Click here for ticket pricing. 

No Shoes Radio Pre Party 

Celebrate the Sun Goes Down Tour with the official party for the concert 7-10 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Texas Live! inside the CBD Kratom Backyard. This is a free event for all ages. It is an evening filled with cocktails, tons of giveaways, including tickets to the show, and more! You can also enter for your chance to win two tickets to the Kenny Chesney concert in Arlington on May 11 at AT&T Stadium.  Winner must be present at the No Shoes Radio Party on May 10th. Levitt Pavilion Fall Concert Series 

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Spring Concert Series continues starting 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, it’s Jackie Venson with Jacob Serrano, and then 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, it’s Vandoliers with Sam Morrow. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience Little River Band 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, then 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, it’s Arielle's Burlesque Production for adults only and 6 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, it’s "Gracias Mamá” A Mother’s Day Concert. Pet Adoptions Event 

Join Arlington Animal Services mobile adoption truck will be PetSmart at Arlington Highlands with furry friends to meet 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024. Stop by to visit with an adoptable pet to get some pet therapy and possibly a forever friend. Cannot make it to the event? Move with the Mayor

Move with the Mayor with a special yoga class 10:15-11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at The Beacon Recreation Center. Be sure to bring a mat and water. The event is free to attend. Click here to register.

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration

Join the Arlington Public Library in celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month at an event 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s [re]Brary Room A. Hear from two distinguished local AAPI authors, Ann Katagiri and Amanda Churchill, about their experience publishing The Turtle House (Churchill) and Den Chan: The Cat Who Crossed the Ocean (Katagiri). The author talk will be followed by a Hula performance by Grace Hula Company with instruction on how to follow along with the dances.

Mother's Day Brunch at Ventana Grille 

Celebrate Mom with a delicious brunch and beautiful views of Tierra Verde Golf Club! Ventana Grille offers a special Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The price is $50 per adult and $25 per child ages 4-12. Children 3 and under eat free. Kenny Chesney returns to AT&T Stadium as part his Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024. The tour features multiple GRAMMY-winning Zac Brown Band, enjoying their 12th CMA Group of the Year nomination; 2023 CMA Song of the Year and New Artist nominee Megan Moroney; and multiple-week No. 1 “When The Sun Goes Down” duet partner Uncle Kracker, known for his own hits “Follow Me” and “Drift Away.” Tickets are available now at SeatGeek.com
