Congratulations Class of 2024

Congratulations, Class of 2024! For the first time, the City of Arlington will light up Downtown to celebrate our community’s high school and college seniors who are graduating this semester.

Graduates and their families looking for a memorable photo op are invited to visit the public plaza on the south side of Arlington City Hall, where the 40-foot Flamme d’ Illuminacion towers will be lit in school colors on a rotating schedule during the month of May.

Artist Michelle O’Michael’s four towering woven steel sculptures were installed between City Hall and Levitt Pavilion Arlington in 2021. The silver towers are illuminated by programmable LED lights that can remain static, color sweep or flicker like flames. The City regularly changes the towers’ colors for holidays or special events.

The night of May 10, the City will first light the sculptures orange and blue to celebrate graduating Mavericks from The University of Texas at Arlington. Then, the towers will be lit nightly May 24-June 2 in the school colors of all high schools in Arlington ISD and Mansfield ISD. City Hall is located at 101 W. Abram St. and is surrounded by free public parking.

Congratulations, seniors! Your future is bright in The American Dream City.
