North Texas Giving Day is an annual 18-hour online giving event, coordinated by the Communities Foundation of Texas that encourages residents to contribute to the nonprofit organizations of their choice.
Since 2014, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has sponsored free Arlington Gives! community concerts and awarded 81 grants totaling $580,000 to recognize and highlight Arlington-based nonprofit organizations and to help North Texas Giving Day contributors' dollars go even further. Over the past decade, Arlington-based charities have raised $12.5 million for local causes through North Texas Giving Day.
“Our nonprofit sector serves so many critical community needs – whether providing food pantries or emergency shelter, free and affordable health services, educational programs or support to at-risk youth or other vulnerable populations,” said Carolyn Mentesana, Arlington Tomorrow Foundation executive director. “Our annual Arlington Gives! event is a way for the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation to shine a spotlight on the power of philanthropy during North Texas Giving Day and beyond.”
