Officer James Evan Johnson

Officer James Evan Johnson was eating at a restaurant when he was approached by a citizen who said that a drunken man had cursed him and his wife. Officer Johnson could not find the man. A second citizen made a similar complaint later. Officer Johnson received an address where the man might be. Officer Johnson went to the address with several officers. He knocked on the door and verbally identified himself as a police officer when asked who he was. A man fired several shots from inside the house striking officer Johnson.
