Head Downtown Wednesday evening for a night of fireworks and fun. There will be live music, food trucks, a kids' zone and fireworks show set to music. The fun starts at 6:00; fireworks are scheduled for 9:45.
Celebrate one of Arlington's oldest traditions Thursday morning with the Independence Day Parade. Thousands of people will line a two-mile course Downtown, as floats and marching bands celebrate America. Click the link above for route information and parking locations.
What's more American than baseball? Head to Globe Life Park Thursday to see the Rangers take on the Angels. Then, hang around for fireworks after the game.
Six Flags is going all out for the 4th, with fireworks shows every night from July 3-6. There will also be extended hours for certain rides.
The party continues well into the weekend with the Firecracker Flight 5k/10k. Runners are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. The race is Saturday at 8 a.m.
Be the king (or queen!) this weekend at the Arlington Chess Club Open. The tournament is for all skill levels and starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at The Salvation Army North Texas Youth Education Town.
Break out the red swimsuit. "Texas Live!" is celebrating a TV classic Friday night. Head to PBR Texas for drink specials and a hula hoop contest. If you come dressed as Pamela Anderson or David Hasselhoff, you could also be upgraded to the VIP section with $400 to spend.
Catch some WNBA action this weekend as the Wings take on the Indiana Fever. The game is Friday night at College Park Center. Tickets start at $11.
This is your chance to experience the work of Keith Haring in person. The Arlington Museum of Art is now home to one of the world's largest Haring collections. Haring created iconic pop art pieces in the 80s and 90s before dying from AIDS. Admission to the exhibit is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and free for children under 12.
It's another weekend of live music at Downtown Arlington's Levitt Pavilion. Texas and Louisiana sounds collide Friday night when Blue Water Highway takes the stage. Saturday is pure country with a performance by Zane Williams. Tribal pop group KatsüK closes out the weekend Sunday. All shows begin at 8:30 p.m.
