Residents Invited to Participate in Tuesday’s Virtual City Council Meeting Through Live-Stream, Toll-Free Phone Number
The City is putting technology to work to ensure residents will be able to participate in Tuesday’s Arlington City Council meeting, which will be held virtually to protect the public during the coronavirus outbreak.
Both the afternoon and evening City Council meetings will be held in the Council Briefing Room at Arlington City Hall. Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams will be present in person to run the afternoon and evening meetings. All other City Council members will be participating remotely through video conferencing technology.
In the interest of public health, the Council Briefing Room will be closed to the public because of social distancing requirements in place to prevent the spread of the respiratory disease, COVID-19.
Residents will be able to call in to a toll-free phone number, 888-886-6602, to make public comments on listed agenda items or participate in the public comments portion of the evening meeting. Callers will be placed in a queue to make their comments over the phone at the appropriate time during the meeting.
The meetings can be viewed live on the City's website at https://www.arlingtontx.gov/city_hall/departments/broadcast or through your local cable provider municipal channel. They will also be recorded live and replayed on the government cable channel throughout the week. To watch these meetings, please tune in to:

The City of Arlington and Tarrant County Public Health remind everyone to continue to follow basic preventive measures to protect from COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses. These include:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick. If you have trouble breathing or a persistent fever, call your primary care provider for instructions.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your sleeve.
- Frequently clean and disinfect touched objects and surfaces.
We also encourage all residents to read “Remember the 3 Cs” for more information about stopping the spread of cold and flu:
