Arlington Residents Invited to 16th Annual Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony & Memorial Dedications Nov. 11, 2023
This Veteran’s Day, Arlington residents are invited to honor members of the United States and Allied Armed Forces who heroically served our country during the Korean War and Vietnam War, as well as all military service members from Arlington who lost their lives in service to this country.
The 16th Annual Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Arlington Veterans Park Memorial at Veterans Park, 3600 W. Arkansas Lane.
This year’s ceremony will begin with the dedication of the Korean War and Korean Defense Veterans Memorial and Memorial To The Fallen, which will include remarks from city leadership, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, and other dignitaries and community leaders. The afternoon will conclude with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Korean War and Korean Defense Veterans Memorial presented by the Korean War Veterans Association and the Consulate of the Republic Of Korea in Dallas.
The event is organized by the Arlington Great Southwest Rotary Club and the Arlington Veterans Park Foundation and is also co-sponsored by The Heroes of South Vietnam Memorial Foundation.
This year’s keynote speaker is Col. Long Pham, U.S. Army Retired (1985-2017) and current Arlington City Council Member.
