 Stormwater

With spring rains adding up, Arlington continues to educate residents on the best ways to end stormwater pollution.

Rain seeps into the ground or "runs off" to lower areas, making its way into streams, rivers, and lakes. This runoff can carry pollutants from activities like landscaping/gardening, car washing, vehicle maintenance and pool cleaning into local waterways creating water quality problems.

The Public Works and Transportation Department’s Environmental Education Specialist is inviting residents to learn more about stormwater pollution and its effects on our local water quality.

The Department is hosting a presentation Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.
