Levitt Pavilion Arlington will launch the final series of the 2023 season on Friday, Sept. 1 with a trio of free concerts headlined by country star and actor Coffey Anderson (Sept. 1), Grammy-winning Tejano legend Little Joe Y La Familia (Sept. 2), and Texas Music Hall of Fame blue guru Ruthie Foster (Sept. 3).
Six weeks of additional outdoor concerts and special events will follow the Labor Day weekend kickoff. Highlights of the fall season include Arlington Gives!, a celebration of North Texas Giving Day sponsored by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, featuring Texas country singer-songwriter Jessee Lee (Sept. 21); Do Good Fest Texas, a benefit for youth mental health service sponsored by National Life Group, featuring hit-making, multi-award winning country stars Mark Chesnutt and Jack Ingram along with rising country star and Opry alum Kaitlin Butts (Sept. 23); and the Levitt’s second annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration (Oct. 7), featuring long-running Tejano hit maker Gary Hobbs.
Other offerings dotting the Levitt’s fall calendar are concerts headlined by jazz, rock, soul and Americana artists; especially noteworthy dates include Kin Faux (San Antonio-based Red Dirt country; Sept. 9); Tank and The Bangas (jazz/hip-hop group out of New Orleans; Oct. 13); and War Hippies (Texas military vets-turned-country rockers, Oct. 14).
All events are free, with first-come, first-served seating available on the Levitt lawn; however, ticket reservations are encouraged for the Do Good Fest (via the Levitt website or the National Life Group website).
“While we’re always adding new events and artists, the Levitt continues to focus on doing what we do best— bringing free, exciting, high quality live music experiences to our community,” said Letatia Teykl, Executive Director for Levitt Pavilion Arlington, the non-profit organization that manages the Levitt venue. “Check out our website and mark your calendar for your favorite performers and genres, and maybe consider trying out a new genre, too. It’s going to be a fabulous fall on the Levitt lawn this September and October!”
This season marks the Levitt’s 16th year. Special mention sponsors are Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital - Arlington (presenting sponsor) and Texas Health Arlington Memorial (sponsor for Share the Stage, a Levitt initiative supporting North Texas artists as Levitt opening acts). The 2023 season is also supported by grants from the Arlington Cultural Tourism Council and longtime funder The Levitt Foundation.
