Jovani Sanchez, a senior on Lamar High School’s soccer team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for January 2025.

Sanchez leads on the field, the captain of the Vikings soccer team and in the classroom, ranking in the top five percent of his class. 

“He has an intrinsic motivation to do things,” said Saroeurn Soeun, Lamar High School’s Head Boys Soccer Coach. “He’s a very proud young man who cares for his family and deeply cares for his teammates.”
