The Arlington Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a 55-year-old man.
On Sunday, November 24, 2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to an apartment complex in the 800 block of N. Center Street. A resident told 911 dispatchers she noticed her neighbor’s window was broken and when she went to investigate, she could see her neighbor lying on the floor inside covered in blood. When officers arrived at the apartment, they found the man with extensive trauma all over his body.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. It’s unclear at this time how long the man had been deceased inside.
The front door to his apartment had damage consistent with someone forcing their way inside. Two vacant apartments in the building also had damaged windows.
At this time, there is no suspect information and no arrests have been made. Investigators continue to canvas the area for surveillance footage, evidence, and additional witnesses.
Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Coffer at (817) 459-5735. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at (817) 469-8477.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
