Via & Handitran Offer Free Rides to Arlington Residents with Confirmed COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments
The City of Arlington, in partnership with Tarrant County, is pleased to offer free Via rides to Arlington residents with a confirmed COVID-19 vaccine appointment at any of the following sites: Esports Stadium Arlington + Expo Center, Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium.
The Via promo code offer begins Monday, March 1. Residents must visit the City of Arlinton’s Via webpage at www.arlingtontx.gov/via to request the promo code, which will be valid for two round-trip Via rides to and from these vaccine sites. Promo codes are not available instantaneously and should be requested as soon as possible after a person receives confirmation from Tarrant County Public Health regarding their appointment time at one of these locations.
Riders will be asked to show proof of their vaccine appointment by text or email to the Via driver.
The City of Arlington is already offering free Handitran rides to and from vaccine sites. To schedule a Handitran ride, call 817-459-3704. For more information about the Handitran transportation service, please visit www.arlingtontx.gov/handitran.
To receive your Free Via Ride promo code, please follow these simple steps:
1) Complete the form at www.arlingtontx.gov/via as early as possible after receiving your vaccine appointment. We will do our best to respond promptly and issue you a promo code before your appointment.
2) Check your email for your promo code (good for two round trips to any of the eligible vaccine sites)
3) If you do not already have a Via account, set one up by downloading the free Via app and setting up your Via account
4) Enter your Free Via Ride promo code in the App. (Click on the three lines in the upper left corner. Click on “Promo Codes”. Enter your promo code.)
5) Once your promo code is entered, you will have access to two round-trip Via rides to any of the eligible sites. You will not have to reenter your promo code again or request another promo code for your second vaccine appointment.
