Arlington residents are invited to participate in an upcoming Community Care Fair, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the East Library and Recreation Center, located at 1817 New York Ave.
The fair will include a variety of health, wellness and community organizations as well as onsite health checks, giveaways, and cooking and nutrition workshops. Vendors will share health and wellness information and resources with participants and provide demonstrations and healthy food samples.
Two blood drives will also be held in connection with the Community Care Fair. The first is set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 19 at the East Library and Recreation Center and the second is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.
The goal of this event, hosted by the Arlington Public Library, is increasing health awareness and exposing the community to local organizations that facilitate healthy living and lifestyles.
