Fall brings colorful beauty to The American Dream City and the Arlington City Council encourages residents to help pick up litter during Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep campaign

The Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) Fall Sweep is a statewide cleanup campaign running through Nov. 20, 2022. Originally launched to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, Keep Texas Beautiful brought back the program due to its major success and popularity, with helpful funding from HEB. The KTB Fall Sweep is a program to support the efforts of KTB affiliates, nonprofits, volunteers, corporations, scout groups and communities to organize fall cleanups.

Fall Sweep activities taking place across the state, including Arlington, can include a variety of projects including beautifying parks and recreation areas, cleaning up watershed areas and picking up litter in school districts. Registered participants will have access to the online event toolkit and receive trash bags, recycle bags, gloves, sunscreen and a first aid kit.

“We all love our beautiful city, but we need your help keeping it that way,” Arlington Mayor Jim Ross said. “It’s our Arlington, and let’s work together to keep it clean and beautiful.”

Please visit the Keep Texas Beautiful website to find out how to create or join a cleanup in your neighborhood or favorite park or greenspace.
