Arlington Eats: Café Americana Serves Up International Cuisine and Original Cocktails in Downtown Arlington
In this new episode of "Arlington Eats," host Cynthia Lemus takes us to Café Americana, the newest addition to Downtown Arlington.
The restaurant is a hub of culture and culinary excellence and fresh inventive cocktails, said Mark Guatelara, Executive Chef and Operator of Café Americana.
“Cafe Americana is the brainchild of a collective of friends who wanted to bring their love of food and beverage from around the world to the community,” Guatelara said.
He joined forces with award-winning mixologist, Gregory “BootlegGreg” Genias, and prolific Chef de Cuisine, Wendy Felix.
Cafe Americana has influences from around the world steeped in Spanish traditions with a distinctly exotic flair. Featuring tapas and family-style shareable plates; the menu includes Argentinian steaks, paellas from Spain, flaky empanadas, and more.
“We have original paellas, but we added some Texas flair to it. Instead of Papas Bravas we do Yucca Brava. We created a cocktail menu that is very familiar but also very rooted to Texas,” Guatelara said.
