Arlington Residents Can Apply to Serve on 2025 Citizens Bond Committee Now Through July 31, 2024
The City of Arlington is seeking residents who are interested in serving on the 2025 Citizens Bond Committee.
The Citizens Bond Committee will be made of 19 City Council-appointed Arlington residents who will review and recommend projects for a bond program that could be presented to Arlington voters in May 2025.
Members will meet weekly each Thursday from Sept. 12 to Oct. 10, 2024, to discuss potential projects. The meetings will build on each other to develop a final recommendation, so attendance is expected at every meeting. A recommended project list will be presented to the Arlington City Council in December 2024.
There will be in-person and online public input opportunities in addition to the Citizens Bond Committee meetings for all resident feedback on the proposed bond election.
Applications will be accepted from June 25 through 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Committee members will be nominated by the City Council on Aug. 27, 2024.
