The Cardboard Boat Regatta challenges amateur boat builders to design, build and navigate boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard. Come and enjoy the fun as you watch the masterful maneuvers of boats braving the waves at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor on April 26 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

2014 Admission Prices
General Admission: $8 (includes admission to Regatta and Hook's Lagoon.)
Pre-purchase tickets by April 25 for just $6 at River Legacy Living Science Center.
Ride Passes are $10 and include Tornado ride, Tsunami Surge & Typhoon Twister (all subject to availability on event day)

Sky Coaster Swing Rides cost $10 per person (2-person minimum ride)

In addition to hosting the competition, the region's largest water park will open the popular Tornado ride PLUS 2 new rides this year, Hook's Lagoon AND the SkyCoaster Swing for guests and participants to enjoy.

Build a boat on site in two hours
Don't have time to build a boat before race day? Sign up for Build-on-Site. You'll construct a Guppy (2-person) boat at Hurricane Harbor in just two hours.

You and your crew will receive:
» 3 pieces of cardboard
» 2 rolls of duct tape
» 2 sheets of plastic
» box cutter
» pencil
» yard stick

The races of boats built on site will take place in Hurricane Harbor's Wave Pool after the adult time-trial races. A trophy is awarded for the fastest finish!

» Race a small pinewood sailboat along a rain gutter by blowing into the sail.

Whale Sail
Win fabulous prizes!
Purchase miniature rubber whales and cheer them on to victory as they race down the Lazy River
The more whales you sail, the better your chances of winning!
Adopt a Whale for just $5 or a pod of 5 whales for $20!

Team Challenge
This Year's Team Challenge will include a 3-Man Basketball Hoops Shoot & Horseshoe Tournament in addition to the cardboard boat races.

2014 Entry Fees (All fees include 2 Regatta admission passes per crew member in the boat)
Guppy boat (1-2 crew members)
Early Bird Registration by April 1: $50
After April 1: $60 (all entries must be received by April 14)
Dolphin boat (3-5 crew members)
Early Bird Registration by April 1: $60
After April 1: $70 (all entries must be received by April 14)
Whale boat (6-10 crew members)
Early Bird Registration by April 1: $80
After April 1: $90 (all entries must be received by April 14)

School & Church entry fee is $50 for all categories. Schools and Churches receive FREE Cardboard to be picked up on THESE Dates Only: Friday, Feb. 28 OR Thursday, March 6 from 3 to 6 pm.
