Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

First Thursdays in Downtown Arlington 

Grab the family and text the group chat, it’s THE day to be in Downtown Arlington! Enjoy once a month evening of live music, artistic experiences, and exploration at your favorite businesses! It takes place form 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, in Downtown. Click here for more information on this month’s lineup. 

The Spa at Loews Arlington

Rekindle your connection with a shared escape designed for pure relaxation at Loews Arlington. Enjoy a tension-relieving massage in a peaceful setting, with soothing aromatherapy and serene surroundings. Complete your experience with a glass of bubbly, toasting to love and shared memories. It is a 50-minute session from $390 per couple. It is available until Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025. Valet parking is complimentary to all patrons of Farena, THE | BAR, and The Spa at Loews Arlington.

Show at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has a show you can enjoy starting 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, it’s Toast - A Tribute to Bread. Click on the event for ticket information.  

Bug Squad: Created by Omaha Children’s Museum

It is the last weekend to Immerse yourself into an imaginative world where insects don’t just have super abilities… they are superheroes! Meet the Bug Squad this fall at River Legacy Nature Center, this visiting exhibit features talking animatronic members of the Bug Squad. Guests will learn about each of their superhero stories, super abilities, and the unique traits they use each day. It ends Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025. 

Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz AND Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art

Following the release of the highly anticipated film, the Arlington Museum of Art will debut a collection of costumes from Wicked (2024) celebrating the artistry of the costume design and twenty-one years of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked. The Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition will feature a collection of larger-than-life images taken by Diana’s trusted friend and Official Royal Photographer, the late Anwar Hussein, as well as his sons Samir and Zak. Each image will be accompanied by first-hand accounts of the stories behind the world-famous moments, told through an in-depth audio guide.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library 

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Checkered Heart Art (50+ yrs)

Join the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department in the Senior Hall at the East Library and Recreation Center 12-1 p.m. to make a checkered heart on paper using strategic lines and colored pencils. Art After Dark: Love and Mardi Gras

Explore your creative side in this after hours artsy program for adults, Love and Mardi Gras edition 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at the Northeast Branch Library’s Community Room Whether you're celebrating your valentine or planning on a festive Mardi Gras, participate in valentine and Mardi gras themed crafts including Mardi gras masks and paint pouring art! Rhythm & Blues Fest

Feel the rhythm and embrace the Blues. Get ready for an unforgettable night as the Rhythm & Blues Fest takes center stage at Texas Hall, spotlighting Grammy-winning and nominated legends who’ve shaped the soundtracks of rhythm, blues, and soul. The event starts 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, featuring the incomparable Anthony Hamilton and the soulful powerhouse Marvin Sapp, this event promises electrifying performances that will move your heart and feet. In The Heights

In The Heights, a musical created in by Lin Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegria Hudes, is set to open the 2025 Season at Theatre Arlington. Set against the beats of salsa and hip-hop, this acclaimed musical tells the story of Usnavi, who longs to pick up his roots and move away from Washington Heights, the tight-knit New York City neighborhood that shaped him. This vibrant show will fill your heart with its spellbinding infectious energy. This show contains adult themes. It all takes place at Theatre Arlington. Freedom Friday

Join Texas Live! at PBR Texas 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, to honor all military personnel, first responders, and public service members. Show your badge or military ID at the door for a complimentary VIP table and drink specials all night.

Insects & their Relationship with Trees Presentation by Kimberlee Peterson from Texas A&M

Looking for a new hobby? Come learn the art of Zentangle 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. This method of drawing is a way to relax, focus, expand your imagination, trust your creativity and have fun. This class is appropriate for ages 9+. While supplies last. We ask that adults with children 9-12 attend the class.

Fight Night Live! 

Fight Night Live! is the ultimate watch party for the upcoming matches at Texas Live! Grab your crew and catch all the action for UFC 312 in Sports & Social Arlington, 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025. Enjoy multiple screens for viewing, drink specials, live entertainment, games, giveaways and more. 

Feral Cat Sunday 

Arlington Animal Services is having a special Trap-Neuter-Return event for feral cats in Arlington 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at the Arlington Animal Services Center. The first 20 cats to arrive between 8-9 a.m. are eligible for these free clinics. Only the first 20 Arlington feral cats will be accepted, and only one feral cat per trap. Kittens must be at least three (3) months old. Ferals must be in a trap. Learn more about the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program at https://www.arlingtontx.gov/tnr, or call 817-575-8131. 

Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and our favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon French toast and served with maple syrup! Walk In & Paint Pottery

Walk In and Paint Pottery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at Catalyst Creative Arts. No reservation required. Just walk in and choose a pottery item to paint from our large selection. Pottery prices range from $25 to $50. You will be given glaze, brushes, instructions, and everything you need to paint your pottery. Pottery will remain at the studio to be fired. Pick up can be arranged in about 1-2 weeks. Please be seated no later than 3 p.m.

Big Game Bash
