Ask Arlington App

With severe winter weather in the forecast, the City is reminding residents about available tools to report issues such as knocked down streetlights or traffic signs, fallen tree limbs in the streets, apartment units without heat or hot water or other issues affecting traffic and neighborhoods.

Residents are encouraged to download the newly updated Ask Arlington app to make a service request. The app is available in both English and Spanish. Click here to learn how to download and use the Ask Arlington app.

Examples of concerns that can be reported through the app include:

  • Abandoned vehicle in the street
  • Traffic Issues and Safety: Streetlight knocked down, street sign down and/or blocking traffic, guardrail repair, traffic signal not working
  • Streets and Sidewalk: Debris in Street
  • Neighborhood concerns: Water leak on private property
  •  Apartment/tenant concerns: No heat or no hot water

Please visit the City of Arlington’s social media accounts or www.arlingtontx.gov/winter for the latest information on City facilities where residents can warm up, emergency homeless shelters, possible delays to City services, such as trash collection, and other helpful weather-related tips.

When to Call the City Instead

  •  Call 911 to report emergency issues, such as downed power lines.
  • Call Public Works at 817-459-6550 to report weather-related issues such as icy road conditions.
  •  Homeless encampments. While homeless encampment locations can be reported through the Ask Arlington app, residents should call 911 instead of using the app if they see a homeless person in need of help immediately.
  •  Suspect a water main break? Call Arlington Water Utilities 24-Hour Emergency Services at 817-459-5900 instead of reporting online.
