The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle wreck that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man.
On September 8, 2024, at approximately 3:37 a.m., officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-30 near Fielder Road where a 2006 Ford F-150 was wrecked out in the center median. Investigators determined the pickup went off the roadway, collided with a concrete barrier, then struck a sign pillar and some guardrail.
The 31-year-old man, who was driving the pickup, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 32-year-old female passenger had to be extricated by emergency responders and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Investigators have not ruled out intoxication as a possible factor in the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
