Citizens Bond Committee

The Arlington City Council has appointed 19 residents to serve on the 2025 Citizens Bond Committee.

The Citizens Bond Committee will review and recommend public infrastructure projects, ranging from street rebuilds to new parks and recreation amenities, for a bond program that could be presented to Arlington voters in May 2025.

Members, who will meet weekly each Thursday from Sept. 12 to Oct. 10, will receive information from departments requesting capital project funding and then will recommend a list of proposed projects to the City Council in December.

Want to provide feedback?

The five scheduled Citizens Bond Committee meetings, held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10, will be open to the public. All meetings will be held in the Council Briefing Room on the 3rd Floor of Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram St.

The City will offer additional in-person and online public input opportunities to collect resident feedback on the proposed bond election as well. A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, and an online survey will be available from Nov. 1-10, 2024. More information about the meeting and online survey will be posted on the Citizens Bond Committee webpage and the City’s social media platforms at a later date.
