Dogs of the week

Dog of the Week – Meet Arizona

This seven-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is black and white in color and weighs 56 pounds. Arizona is the sweetest angel you'll ever meet, and we mean angel in every sense of the word. This darling senior lady came to us with a chihuahua, proving she gets along splendidly with dogs of all shapes and sizes. With her charming salt and pepper face, Arizona may look like she's seen a few winters, but don’t let that fool you—she still has plenty of zest for life! She enjoys playing with toys, though she prefers to lounge on them rather than chew. Arizona is a VIP at our shelter, having spent more time with us than we'd like, and she’s eagerly waiting to find her forever home. She has impeccable manners both at the shelter and at offsite events, making her a joy to be around. As a VIP she can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. Come meet her and see if she can be your new furry "guardian angel". Meet Arizona at Dog Adoptions (DA) 27, her ID number is A56289862.

Dog of the Week – Meet Julie

This eight-year-old female American Blue Heeler mix is grey and black in color and weighs 62 pounds. Another senior dog to offer, Julie is affectionately known as our little "roly poly" dog. She is a delightful senior dog who is ready to bring joy and love to her new family with the perfect blend of calmness and affection that only comes with age. She recently shined at our offsite adoption event, charming everyone she met, but she’s still searching for her furever home. This sweet girl is a model resident at the shelter, never making a mess in her kennel. Julie’s loving nature makes her a friend to everyone, greeting each person with a wagging tail and a happy demeanor. She has done well around other dogs in the shelter, but to ensure a smooth transition, we recommend slow and calm introductions with any potential new canine siblings. Some quality R&R time outside of the shelter environment will be incredibly beneficial for Julie, helping her to relax and show her true loving personality. VIP status has been bestowed upon her for her length of time in the shelter. Adopt Julie and make her golden years truly special! Meet Julie at Dog Adoptions (DA) 3 her ID number is A56140326.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
