Arlington City Council has voted on and approved agreements for three separate corporate headquarters moving to or being newly established in Arlington.

Acciona Facility Services is a 100-year-old multinational conglomerate based in Spain and will establish its U.S. headquarters for their facility services division in Arlington. With four core lines of business including renewable energies, water management, construction and facility services, they have over 57,000 employees in 40 countries. The company typically employs 250-300 workers per each of its locations and will promote job opportunities to Arlington residents.

The Chapter 380 economic development agreement states that the City will provide Acciona with an annual rebate of 65% of 1% of sales taxes collected on their service contracts for 10 years.

GAC Media, a prominent media enterprise holding U.S. cable networks Great American Family and Great American Faith & Living as well as streaming services, will relocate its corporate headquarters from Fort Worth. The company will establish a minimum of 20 high-quality jobs at the new location.

The City will reimburse GAC Media $100,000 for the relocation and preparation of its corporate headquarters as part of their Chapter 380 agreement, funded by the Innovation and Venture Capital Fund.

“The approval of our recent headquarter projects is a testament to the thriving economic environment in Arlington,” said Gus Garcia, director of economic development for the City. “Corporate headquarters are key to fostering a rapidly growing economy, and we’re prime for more headquarter relocations. Our City is perfectly suited to address the various challenges corporations experience during their site selection process,” he said.

E-space, Inc. will enter a public-private partnership with the City and the Arlington Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) to establish their North American headquarters and satellite manufacturing facility at the Arlington Municipal Airport. Building off the current economic momentum at the Airport, E-space will create and fill a minimum of 400 jobs with an average salary of $95,000 in the first 5 years.

The AEDC would contribute up to $50 million toward construction of the headquarters and manufacturing facility, which would be leased by E-space but owned by the AEDC under the agreement. E-space must meet financial stability requirements outlined in the agreement.

“This is just the right kind of project for the AEDC to take on, as it's consistent with the City's Economic Development Strategic Plan,” said Marty Wieder, executive director of the AEDC.  “Both the AEDC Board and City Council voted unanimously in support, recognizing that these types of well-paying, aerospace industry jobs are appropriate for the AEDC's mission.”
