Texas Rangers host the Houston Astros at Glove Life Field

The Texas baseball rivalry, Silver Boot Series, is back! The Houston Astros come to town to take on the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The series begins Friday and wraps up on Monday. For tickets click here.

Arlington Bass Classic

Arlington Parks and Recreation will host the 11th Annual Arlington Bass Classic on April 6, kicking off the tournament at 7 a.m. with a brief meeting beforehand. Show off your angling skills and compete for cash prizes as we spend the day fishing on beautiful Lake Arlington! All participants must have a current Lake Arlington boating permit and a valid Texas state fishing license. Boats will launch from Richard Simpson Park. Click here to register.

10th Annual South Street Art Festival

For the 10th year, South Street Art Festival will be coming to the 300-500 blocks of E. South St. of the Downtown Cultural District. More than 100 artists will have their work on display and for sale. The styles range from jewelry to pottery. There will also be food vendors onsite. Parking is free on the street or in the City's Downtown Garage.

Attend the Earth Day Festival at River Legacy Nature Center

This free, family-friendly festival, set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, includes nature walks, story times, crafts, activities, demonstrations, information from Arlington Water Utilities, and more. ¡Viva La Fiesta! at Six Flags Over Texas

There’s nothing quite like celebrating ¡Viva La Fiesta! at Six Flags Over Texas. Starting April 6th through May 5th, celebrate culture and traditions with live performances of Ballet Folklórico, Mariachi band and Tejano music. The park will come alive with folk art, colorful festoons, piñatas, papel picado décor, and more!

North Texas Soccer Club vs. Town FC

Exhibits at Arlington Museum of Art

Immerse yourself in art at the new Arlington Museum of Art with three exhibits. Pompeii: The Immortal City is a world-class multi-media experience that takes you back to Rome just before, during, and after the fateful eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. American artist Adam Fung and Canadian artist Sabrina Rattè contemplate the immense power of crescive fragility of our natural world through immersive art in One Point Five Degrees. And check out future artists and the talent of Arlington ISD students with Youth Art Month.

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience Gary Puckett & The Union Gap 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024, then take a magical journey through time with Celebrate The History of Jethro Tull Anniversary Tour 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 and wrapping up the weekend with the gospel stage play He Can’t Love You Like I Can 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024.

¡Viva Tejas! at Texas Live!

Head over to Texas Live! 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, as the Texas Rangers Celebrate Hispanic culture together throughout the season. ¡Viva Tejas! is a free event series that brings fans together throughout the season, highlighting Hispanic traditions through food trucks, live music, vendors, Rangers trivia, prizes, and more! This Saturday, there will be live music by Edgardo Nunez.

De-Stress Hour

Feeling stressed out? Take some time for self-care and come hang out with a therapy dog, courtesy of Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs! The Arlington Public Library will also be providing stress-relief activities for participants intended for teens ages 13-17 on Saturday, April 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch Library.

Kutub: Arabic Book Club

The Arabic Book Club “Kutub” meets on the first Saturday of the month from 12:00 pm to 1:30pm. Members will discuss novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, music, feature films or documentaries that explore Arabic culture. This month’s meeting will be in [re]Brary Room A at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.

Spring into the Eclipse: Laser Cutter for Beginners: Solar Eclipse Art

Join the Arlington Public Library for a very special eclipse-themed art project! Learn about the many things you do with the Glowforge Laser Cutter in this introductory class and create a unique space-themed project. Materials will be provided. This class 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, and is limited to the first 16 in attendance. The event is appropriate for ages 13 and up.
