Dog of the Week – Laddie
This four years, eight months old male German Shepherd mix is black and brown in color and weighs 61 pounds. Perhaps you can tell from the photo that this canine has manners that seem to overflow as evidenced by his expert hand shaking. This guy doesn't know what social distancing means. He's ready to be your best friend. Laddie just wants to be loved and is eager to give all the love. German shepherds are characterized as being intelligent, energetic and very loyal. A loving family willing to provide Laddie with opportunities to show off his mental and physical skills would be a great match. Second Dog of the Week – Meet Lucas
This nearly one year old male Retriever mix is tan and white in color and weighs 43 pounds. Can we say "happy dog"? Look at that smile on his face—of course he is showing off for the camera. It does make him smile to spend time in the outdoor play yard especially since temperatures have gotten "somewhat" cooler! He also loves spending time with the great volunteers that come to the shelter and also loves being with the shelter staff. Lucas has been in the shelter for over two months so he (and we) are really eager for him to meet his "furever" family. This month is considered "Dogtober" and to celebrate we are offering dog adoptions right now for $10. The shelter has been at capacity for a while so come help us and the animals out by adopting.
