From a holiday lights tradition, football championships or an outdoor event for the family, here are a few ways to enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

The Lights at Interlochen 

One of the largest and longest running holiday traditions in North Texas is back! You are invited to The Lights at Interlochen. To see the lights and displays, you can drive through the Northwest Arlington neighborhood from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. from Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 through Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021. All motorists must enter Interlochen from Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road. Admission is free. Learn more here.

UIL State Football Championships at AT&T Stadium

The University Interscholastic League’s state high school football championships return to AT&T Stadium. Games start at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. each night from Wednesday Dec. 15, 2021 through Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021. Tickets are available for purchase through the UIL’s website.

Outdoor Storytime at River Legacy Living Science Center

Come celebrate stories and nature with a special outdoor storytime with River Legacy Living Science Center at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. It is recommended that you bring your own blanket to sit on. Registration is required.The Lights at Interlochen
