The Animal Services Center's birthday celebration on Saturday, January 18 was brimming with "happy" as 43 homeless pets found new beginnings.
Twenty stray and four foster pets were adopted into new homes, and 19 pets rescued.
A steady flow of guests to the center requesting to personally "meet and greet" with adoptable pets kept everyone actively engaged. Enthusiastic volunteers were also busy behind the scenes grooming pets in hopes of helping them find homes.
Golden PAWS Volunteers received $135 in donations to help homeless pets from the handmade blankets and pet toys they crafted with care.
One particularly stunning white kitten named "Whisper" was brought to the event by her foster pet parent Samantha Trimble. A loving couple came in search of Whisper and happily adopted her into their lives.
This delightful birthday celebration was made possible by the shelter's awesome volunteers', community partner Costco Wholesale® who provided delicious birthday cakes and every compassionate animal lover that adopted or rescued a homeless pet.
