Boys and Girls Clubs of Arlington enables young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to reach their full potential. CDBG funds support a comprehensive after-school and summer youth development program at Roquemore Elementary School emphasizing educational and social competency skill sets. Center for Transforming Lives is a non-profit organization that offers high quality early childhood development for economically disadvantaged children from birth through 5 years old. Recovery Resource Council
Recovery Resource Council is recognized as a leader in North Texas in the field of substance abuse-related outreach, intervention and prevention whose missionis to reduce drug and alcohol abuse in our community. The Outreach, Screening, Assessment and Referral (OSAR) program in Arlington is designed to improve access to State-funded substance abuse treatment services for the under and uninsured. In addition to screening and assessment, clients are provided brief motivational counseling, educational information, and referrals to other services as needed.

Sixty and Better provides congregate meals and educational and recreational programming for seniors at two neighborhood-based locations. The NY Senior Center at 1815 New York Ave. is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the meal being served at 11:30 a.m. The Central Arlington location is 971 E Sanford St. Arlington, TX 76011. Water from the Rock
Water from the Rock is a faith-based Community-Based Development Organization (CBDO) that provides a one-stop learning center in Central Arlington for low- to moderate-income residents. Services provided include adult literacy and GED classes, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, computer training, job-readiness assistance, and emergency food and clothing assistance and.ESL classes are Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. GED preparation is Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Literacy classes for children are offered on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Job readiness classes are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
