For information regarding your previous or upcoming Annual Fire Inspection (AFI) please reach out via our main office number.

Certificate of Occupancy

If you have applied for a new Certificate of Occupancy, you can request a specific date for your fire inspection by contacting the main office. Please note that if you select “Ready for Inspection” on your Certificate of Occupancy application, your inspection is automatically scheduled for the next business day once the application is approved. If you do not select “Ready for Inspection” you must contact the Fire Prevention Office via our main number to be placed on the schedule. There is no specific timeframe given for these inspections so please be aware when selecting an inspection date that the inspection may occur at any time during normal business hours.

Systems/Permits

If you are a general contractor or sub-contractor and would like to request an inspection for a permit, please send an e-mail to FireSystems@arlingtontx.gov. When requesting these inspections, please include pertinent information such as the address of the project, permit number, and type of inspection being requested. Only the person/company that was issued the permit may request an inspection. Please note that inspection times are given based on availability and type/size of the inspection.
