Arlington Animal Services Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 26-27, 2021, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Shelter staff will be onsite to care for the animals in the center. Animal Services will reopen for the public on Saturday, November 28, 2021 at 10 a.m.

Pet Adoptions and Reclaims

Animal reclamations are available without an appointment. Please view our Stray Pets website to obtain and provide the animal ID number for your visit. PawBoost is another resource to check to see if your treasured pet has been reported found.

Receiving Animals

  • Stray animal drop-off are accepted by appointment during regular business hours at Arlington Animal Services. Call 817-459-6156 to schedule an appointment to drop-off a stray animal, until further notice. 
  • Animals transferred to approved Adoptions Placement Partners will be handled outside of the facility in the open air.
  • Owner-surrendered animals are by appointment. Please call 817-459-6156 to talk with an Animal Admissions Coordinator.

Monday through Friday - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

2nd Tuesday of each month - 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Saturday - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sunday - Closed

During all holiday closings, shelter staff is onsite to care for the animals in the center.
